DANCE WITH VERVE

Verve Dance is a vibrant, inclusive space dedicated to the art of dance, movement, and self-expression. Established by professional dancer Emily Daly in 2024, Verve Dance invites students of all ages and skill levels to explore the joy of movement in a supportive and inspiring environment. With a wide range of classes spanning diverse styles—from ballet and contemporary to hip-hop, jazz, and beyond—Verve offers something for everyone, whether they’re stepping into a studio for the first time or seeking to refine their technique.

Our instructors are passionate and highly trained professionals who bring their expertise, enthusiasm, and love for dance into every class. At Verve, we believe in fostering creativity and confidence in each student, and our community-oriented approach ensures that everyone feels welcome and encouraged on their dance journey. Verve Dance is more than a studio; it’s a place where movement and imagination come alive, where friendships are formed, and where everyone can find their rhythm. Join us to discover, create, and dance with verve!

WHY DANCE?

Physical Health: Dance is a great way to improve coordination, balance, stamina, flexibility, motor skills and muscle tone.

Memory, Learning and Cognition: Through learning and memorizing different sequences of movement, dance helps us flex our brain muscles in different ways. Whether its learning new material, reversing movement from the right side to left side or connecting movement to the rhythm in the music, dance keeps our brains active and focused.

Social Skills: The dance studio is where we build lifelong friendships and artistic collaborative relationships. Dance also requires us to move in a room full of other people which calls for spatial awareness and basic etiquette skills. Dance classes and choreography involve group work which fosters an environment of support and encouragement.

Creativity: What makes dance so unique is the fine line between athleticism and art. It's unlike other sports in that dance can help the artistic voice to develop and shine. At Verve, we place a high value on the creative spirit and do all that we can to allow dancers to find their own point of view by working on their own choreography and improvisation.

Discipline: Structure creates freedom. Through rigorous and dedicated training, dancers can find the grounding they need to spread their wings. Through teaching respect for teachers, classmates and ourselves, we learn not only to be great dancers but amazing humans.

"I think the dance studio is a sacred space and the dance floor becomes our sacred common ground."

-Ronald K. Brown, Choreographer
